Club Peña Trevinca Montañeiros de Galicia is an entity independent of the University of Vigo, but with which exists a long collaborating relationship to promote mountain activities and other activities in nature (climbing, mountaineering, hiking, skiing...) in the university community. Among these activities we can find federated sports, the management of the university climbing teams, the development of beginners and advanced courses or the organization of promotional events of this sport discipline.
2. Participation in club activities
To be able to participate in activities organized by Club Peña Trevinca Montañeiros de Galicia you must get in direct contact with the entity to get information on general conditions, requirements, schedules, rates...
People who are part of the UVigo university community will enjoy the following advantages over the general conditions of the club:
- Possibility of semi-annual installment payment of the membership fee.
- Access to club activities originally meant only for subscribers (with a maximum of one or two per year).
3. Collaborating agreement
The specific terms of the collaboration between these two entities are recorded in an agreement you can find at the bottom of this website. Those who own a licence from the club federation and would like to freely use the climbing wall in the University facility must request their accreditation through this website.

Club Escola Xadrez Pontevedra is an entity independent of the University of Vigo but with which exists an intense collaborating relationship to develop activities to promote chess between the university community and the population from around the Pontevedra and Vigo campuses. Among these activities you can find the practice of chess as a federated sport, the management of university teams, the development of beginners and advanced schools (in-person or online) or the organization of events and tournaments to promote this sport discipline.
2. Federated activity
Currently, the club counts with teams from almost all the autonomic categories, including the division of honor. Athletes with a valid licence by the Galician Athletics Federation will have an exemption of 100 % in the price of the entry to the athletics track of the Ourense and Vigo campuses thanks to the agreement signed between the two parties. Anyhow, those who want to enjoy these advantages must issue a request through this website and wait for a confirmation by the Wellbeing, Health and Sports Department.
